How To Pack Your Paraglider For Shipping

By Team Fly Halo –

As paramotor pilots we rarely have a need to do an actual concertina fold on our paragliders. But when we do, it’s sometimes hard to make it pretty if we’re not practicing all the time. Here’s a video to reference back to in case you’re a little rusty.

A proper fold technique is critical for long term storage, compact portability, or even handy if you happen to land out and have to carry your gear out of a swamp.

This motor minute will show you a technique that adheres to many common cautions about improper folding techniques that can damage equipment. This technique is used for a paraglider of high quality that utilizes nylon rods to form the leading and trailing edges; no mylar.

If your glider requires special prep beyond the scope of this video, feel free to use a modified technique. If you have no idea what the heck we’re talking about, link up with us for a lesson or a complete training course.
